Rules

Participants of these tournaments (players and casters) agree to the following expectations regarding conduct and sportsmanship:

• In-game communication (all chat) is limited to team captains only and should be reserved for pause or remake requests.
• Teams can send “gg” or some variation thereof in all chat when a nexus explodes.
• In the event that a Team Captain is chat banned, they will delegate a player from their team to make remake/pause requests on their behalf.
• Emoting and masteries are permissible as these can be muted.
• Captains will be mediators between team and admins if something should arise.
• Disrespectful or discourteous comments made about or towards participants and staff of the tournament in chat logs (discord, twitch, etc.) is prohibited.
• No surrendering, games must be played out.
• Pauses are only for game issues or someone disconnecting — not bathroom breaks or someone stepping away, so please take care of business during intermissions.
• If you decide to live stream your matches you must have streamer delay on. All broadcasted matches will have spectator delay.

• Tournament Day 1 will start at 12pm PST September 12, and Day 2 will start 12pm PST September 13.
• Tournaments will consist of 8 teams.
• Double-Elimination.
• Fearless Draft — once a champion is picked in a best-of series, it cannot be used again for the rest of the series.
• Round One = Best of Three. The results of round one will seed teams in the Winner’s and Loser’s brackets.
• Winner’s Round two / Loser’s Round one: Elimination round = Best of Three. Two teams from the Loser’s bracket will be eliminated from the tournament after this round. Two teams will drop from Winner’s bracket down to Loser’s Round two. Two teams will move on to the Winner’s Semi-finals.
• Loser’s Round two: Second Elimination round = Best of Three. Two more teams will be eliminated from the tournament after this round. The two winning teams will move on to Loser’s Semi-Finals.
• Semi-Finals Round: Best of Three. One team will advance to the Grand Finals after this round. One team will be eliminated from the tournament. Two teams will move on to Loser’s finals.
• Loser’s Finals Round: Best of Three. One team will be eliminated from the tournament after this round, the other will move on to the Grand Finals.
• Grand Finals Round: Best of Five. Decides Tournament Winners.

• Teams must submit a roster of 6 players — 5 starters and a sub.
• A Team Captain will be chosen prior to tournament start.
• Teams are expected to submit the op.gg “multi” for all active accounts accessible by their roster of players.
• Once accounts are submitted for the team’s roster, switching during tournament will be prohibited.
• There will be no role swapping amongst team members once the tournament starts. This also means once a sub plays they may not swap to any role other than the one resulting in them playing initially.
• Coaches are allowed to join voice channels in between matches during a series, but only to talk strategy and drafts.
• If your team does not submit a sub, one will be appointed to your team by staff.
• In the event that a sub must take a player’s spot, the sub will continue to play for the remainder of the series regardless if the player is to return or not.

• All rules are finalized and will not be altered once tournament begins.
• Tournament Staff will hold final say in all disputes, as well as issue disciplinary actions towards anyone who breaks or disregards the rules and conduct of the tournament.
• Disciplinary actions are up to staff but may include disqualification from tournament and/or future tournaments, losing a round and/or a series, losing choice of side selection, and/or losing the opportunity to ban out “X” amount of champions.
• Any pauses or disputes that interrupt the flow of the tournament may also be subject to disciplinary actions, especially in the chance that the matter was of no importance.
• Substitutions are to be made in either emergencies or personal matters. If you falsify substitution for reasons such as champs being banned out or poor performance, your team will face disciplinary actions.
• Falsifying or not providing all accounts owned and used by all team members may result in immediate disqualification.
• If a team is found out to have been ghosting, stream sniping, or anything of that nature, they will be immediately terminated from the tournament.
• If someone gets complaints about them it will be addressed by staff, but in the case of multiple complaint cases they will be punished and/or terminated (individually) from the tournament.

Tardiness penalties

• 10 minutes late — loss of side selection
• 15 minutes late — loss of side selection & 1 ban
• 20 minutes late — loss of side selection & 2 bans
• 30 minutes late — disqualified from tournament

Tournament

• 1st place: $100 per player, team banner as the server banner, Merigune reps team (think branding or shoutouts), prio on pokemon roles / can steal existing pokemon from other server members.
• 2nd place: Mystery skins + prio on pokemon roles / can steal existing pokemon, cannot steal from 1st.
• 3rd place: Prio on pokemon roles / can steal existing pokemon, cannot steal from 1st or 2nd.

Payments to players outside of the US must be done via PayPal. In the event that a member of the winning team is unable to accept funds via PayPal, they will have to share the name of a trusted individual who can accept the winnings on their behalf.

Pickems

• Winners bracket: Mystery Skin for each individual who correctly guesses the entire winners bracket.
• Entire bracket: Mystery Skin + $5 RP for each individual who correctly guesses the entire bracket.
